Abstract
Surgical (e.g., excision, unroofing, fenestration) and percutaneous methods have been used in treatment of symptomatic simple renal and liver cysts. Percutaneous treatment of symptomatic simple cysts forms the first-line treatment modality before surgical and laparoscopic methods because of its minimally invasive nature. Of percutaneous methods in simple aspiration, the cyst fluid almost always reaccumuiates because of viable cyst wall. Sderosing agent, of which the most wideiy used is alcohol, must be given into cyst for treatment. The procedure with needle or catheter methods, single or muiti-session, US- or CT-guided, of various techniçues has been curativety performed with high success.
