Abstract
Osteosarcoma is a highly malignant bone tumor especially in the paediatric population with a high rate of lung metastases. İn this paper we reported the surgical follow up and results of 184 osteosarcoma patients follovv up and surgical results with a mean age of 20.9 (4-75 years). 112 male (60.9%) and 72 female (39.1%) patients were reported in this study. The data about the patients were analyzed retrospectively, 60% of the patients were included in the paediatric and adelascant age group (1120) years. 64.7% of the cases were located around knee 64.7% (41.8% distal femora and 23.9% proximal tibia). Conventional osteosarcoma vvas the most commonly reported histopathologic variant with an ratio of 82.1%. Patients vvere evaiuated according to Enneking surgical classification System and 73.9% of the patients ıvere in stage 2B in the initial diagnosis. We performed surgical procedure to 81.5% of patients and limb soluage procedure was preferred in 68.5% of them and we performed amputation to 31.5%. we reported a 4% relaps and a 52.7% of exitus ratio in our group.
