Abstract
Hematoma in rectus sheath is a rare condition; and occurs due to a tear of the epigastric artery or the rectus sheath. İt can be misdiagnosed as an intraabdominal tumor or collection secondary to an infection. A 46 year-old woman vvas presented with nausea, vomiting, fever and abdominal pain. Her physical examination revealed a huge abdominal mass located at the right upper çuadrant and extending down to pelvis. Abdominal ultrasound described the mass. Hematoma of the right rectus muscle containing active bleeding foci vvas diagnosed via computerized tomography. This patient vvas treated in the ward and discharged at 7fh day. Follow-up tomography at the 45th day shovved that 50% of the mass has been resorbed.
