Overall 1, 2, 3, 4 years survival rates were 85%, 70%, 53 % and 37% respectively and median survival rate was 41 months. We found overall 1 and 4 years survival rates 85% and 61% for tumors located in upper part of the rectum, 80% and 14%> for tumors located in middle part of the rectum and 97% and 59% for distal rectal tumors. Differences between groups were statistically significant (p= 0.03). Lymph node metastases was evaluated as a prognostic fac-tor. Differences betvveen nodal involvement groups were not statistically significant (p= 0.16). One-hundred-forty-six patıerıts were operable, 19 patients were inoperable. One and 4 years sun/ival results of operated patients were 86% and 42%. For inoperated patients 1 and 4 years survival rates were 78% and 15%.
