Abstract

Papillary thyroid carcinoma and medullary thyroid carcinoma in the thyroid gland is a rare condition. Papillary thyroid carcinoma originates from follicular cells, medullary thyroid carcinoma originates from parafollicular cells. We report the case of a 65 years old man who developed a thyroid follicular neoplasia. The patient was operated to our department with total thyroidectomy. In the pathological examination of the specimen showed papillary carcinoma and medullary carcinoma in the right lobe.
