Abstract
Acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL), acute myeloblastik leukemia (AML) M3 according to FAB classification is a distinct subtype of AML usuaily characterized by hypergranular leukemic cells, bleeding diathesis and a spesific translocation t(15:17) vvhich plays a pivotal role in the pathogenesis of APL. The gold Standard therapy in APL is all-trans retinoic acid (ATRA) containing combinations. Despite possible significant side effects, ATRA is well tolerated. We report on a 50-year-old man vvith APL who developed scrotal ulcerations during treatment vvith ATRA. Although there are few case reports, to our knovvledge this case is the first one that has painless scrotal ulcerations related vvith ATRA.
